Pumpkins and Pigs and Lions, Oh My!
It’s time to celebrate all things fall—crisp weather, pumpkins, Halloween and more! The Westwood Fall Festival is set for Saturday, Oct. 29 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Westwood Shopping Center.
Get up close with a teacup pig, bunnies and other fuzzy friends at the Squeals on Wheels Petting Zoo; bring the kids and pooches in costume for store-to-store trick-or-treating and a pet parade; don’t miss the pumpkin- and face-painting fun; and come prepared to enjoy scrumptious food-truck fare and live music. Activities are free; food will be for sale.
In addition, Sweetbay Yoga will lead yoga demonstrations, and Larry the Lion will be on hand with Brit Am Soccer Academy running fun skill drills.
Westwood Fall Festival is being held to benefit MCPAW, the Montgomery County Partners for Animal Well-Being. To help, look for collection boxes to make donations and be sure to purchase raffle tickets for gift cards. Mascot McPaw himself will be on hand, too.
The Joe Bernui Duo will be playing classic rock and pop tunes throughout the afternoon while Geppetto BBQ and Chix N Stix food trucks sell their delicious classics. Kona Ice will be on hand with its famous shaved ice, as well.
Mark your calendar now for an afternoon of fun at the Westwood Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 29, at Westwood Shopping Center, 5400 Westbard Ave. in Bethesda. The store-to-store trick-or-treating will be conducted at 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
