A Development Review Committee (DRC) meeting on the sketch plan is set for Aug. 22.

The DRC is an inter-agency task force comprised of representatives from public agencies and utilities such as WSSC, PEPCO, the State Highway Administration and various county departments. Agencies meet with planning staff and provide feedback on submitted plans, which is then incorporated by staff into its recommendation to the Planning Board. DRC meetings are open to the public but are not public hearings.

A Planning Board public hearing on the sketch plan has been tentatively scheduled for Nov. 3.

Equity One was also invited to participate in a Department of Parks and Planning meeting as staff began the department’s preliminary work on the Willett Branch restoration. The meeting was also attended by the Little Falls Watershed Alliance and other stakeholders.

Discussions about the proposed realignment of Westbard Avenue were the topic of a meeting with the county Department of Transportation. Feedback was positive and the next step is to meet with the State Highway Administration.
